African Canadian Community Consultants (ACCC) offers a Mentorship and Volunteer Placement Program designed to support foreign-trained professionals and community members in navigating the Canadian labour market.
Whether you are a newcomer, student, or youth looking to gain Canadian workplace experience this program is for you.

About the Program

Our program connects participants with established professionals, community agencies, and organizations across various sectors. Through structured mentorship and hands-on placement, participants gain:

  • Workplace experience and professional references
  • An understanding of Canadian labour market trends
  • Practical skills in their field of interest
  • Networks to support their career and employment goals

Placements run for 3 to 6 months and are matched based on each participant’s background and
career interests.

  • Youth seeking career direction and exposure
  • Volunteers looking to contribute to community organizations

Types of Mentorship

Career Mentorship
Participants are paired with experienced Canadian professionals in their field to navigate the job market, understand workplace culture, and build industry-specific knowledge.

Social & Community Mentorship
Participants are connected to community agencies, social services, and government
departments to gain practical skills in areas such as intake, case management, program
planning, and report writing.
